Part One

In the first instalment we learnt that my name is Brett Stevens

And i have just turned fourteen.

My parents told me that we had to have a talk.

I thought it was that TALK

And now i wish that it was.

What my parents told me came as a complete surprise.

My father showed me an x ray

It was an x ray of my chest taken a couple of years prior

when i had cracked a rib playing soccer.

I had a close look at that x ray and my mouth dropped open.

For attached to a bottom rib on my right side was what looked

like a tiny foetus.

My mother said that it was more than likely the foetus of my

twin brother.

And that when we were developing he died and somehow my body

absorbed him.

A dead baby was attached to my rib.

Over the following weeks i became obsessed with that foetus.

I began to rub that rib constantly.

My parents were concerned about my behaviour and they took

me to see a psychologist.

And while i was laying on his couch the foetus erupted out of

my body attached to a umbilical cord.

The psychologist jumped back in shock clutching his chest.

And he collapsed to the floor dead.

After doing the deed the foetus crawled back inside me.

A month or so after that i was having a bath with the foetus laying

on my stomach.

The foetus told me that when he gets a chance he will kill my

parents so he doesn’t have to share me with anyone.

‘No’ I scream

And that is exactly what the foetus wanted me to do.

My parents burst into the bathroom to see what all the noise was

about.

Then they both notice the foetus and before they can scream.

The foetus springs forward with a pair of scissors.

And it murdered my parents.

I have had enough so i grab hold of that umbilical cord and go to

chew it in half.

The foetus tells me ‘Don’t do it Brett if you bite the cord both of us will

die”

Part Two.

I dont know what to.

But eventually i release that cord and sit on the toilet seat numb with

shock.

I look at my parents laying on the bathroom floor in a pool of blood.

That fucking foetus is going to pay.

I phone the police and wait for them to arrive.

But what can i tell them?

That a foetus living inside my body killed my parents.?

They will think that i am crazy.

But it is too late now to back out the police are here.

I go to the front door and let them into my nightmare.

Two detectives walk in and i tell them that my parents are dead

in the bathroom.

One of the detectives stays with me while the other  one goes to

have a look.

Soon he returns with a bloody pair of scissors in a plastic baggie.

I used those scissors this morning so my fingerprints will be all

over them.

I am told to turn around than i feel a pair of handcuffs close over my

wrists.

‘Okay son what happened here?

I start to tell them all about the foetus inside me.

But i decide to remain silent and i am led away.

On the road to the precinct all i can think about is my parents being

murdered by a deranged foetus.

How in the fuck is this happening?

Speaking of the devil just than that foetus emerges and crawls up onto

my chest.

Like a new born waiting for his mothers milk.

I am repulsed i cant believe that that evil foetus is part of me.

I look at that murderous piece of attachment.

And the shit hits the diaphram.

I grab hold of its umbilical cord and start to chew.

Before the cops notice that i have a reborn reborn companion i decide

to stop chewing.

Glad for the reprieve the foetus scurries back inside me.

And takes its cord with him.

I am held in custody overnight

And in the morning i am brought before a judge.

When she enters the courtroom we are all told to rise.

But it is hard to stand when your feet are shackled and your hands

are cuffed.

Plus orange isn’t really my colour.

A couple of sheriffs drag me to my feet and judge Coltrane speaks

‘Mr Stevens you are charged with two counts of murder how do you

plead?”

‘Not guilty your honour’

Your plea has been entered you will remain in custody without bail

until your next hearing’

‘If you are found guilty by your peers i will be recommending the death

penalty’

What? what ? what?

I haven’t killed anybody i cant stay quiet any longer ‘But your honour

i didn’t kill my parents’

‘My unborn twin brother did it his foetus erupted from my body and he

stabbed them with the scissors’

The courtroom fills with laughter and gasps of shock.

The judge has heard enough so she brings down her gavel ‘ Take the prisoner

away for  an immediate psychological examination’

‘This hearing is adjourned’

I am led away and taken back to my holding cell.

I cant believe that i am being charged with the murder of my parents.

Surely justice will prevail and i will be found innocent.

My cell door opens

And a doctor looking like person walks in and introduces himself as

Doctor Epstein.

And he starts to ask me questions that i dont really want to answer.

His moronic questions seem to go on forever.

I scream at him ‘I am telling you that i didn’t do it’

I lift up my shirt to show him the hole in my side

But there is nothing to be seen.

My skin is free from any sort of blemishes.

There isn’t even a mole.

I cant believe it.

The psychologist leans in for a closer look and i scream at him not

to get too close.

Just than an umbilical cord comes flying out and it wraps around

the doctors throat.

And the foetus drags him towards the opening.

The doctor struggles for his life but he cant fight off the foetus.

The doctors head disappears into my body cutting off his breathing

He continues to fight so i hold his head until he chokes to death.

His bowels release there contents and the cell fills with the smell

of shit.

I kick the doctor to the floor and smile at my partner in crime.

The foetus smiles back he really is my evil twin.

The foetus crawls up onto my shoulder until we are eye to eye.

Than we start to sort of meld and weld together until we are conjoined.

We keep on melding and welding until we have become a creature of the

unknown.

I hope you enjoyed reading this story.

Keep an eye out for Part Three coming soon.

THE END

Thanks for taking the time to read one of my stories now if you could please make a donation to help me achieve my dream and become a fulltime writer. Thanks again Steven.

Attic To The Past

28 Wednesday Sep 2016

attic, birthday, family, ghosts, heaven, memories, the past

Today is a very special day for me.

It is my 78th birthday.

I jump out of bed as fast as i can.

But it isn’t that easy at my age.

Than i sit at the kitchen and drink a

hot cup of tea.

As i sit there my mind starts to look back

All i have now is half remembered memories.

Well i cant sit here all day.

Maybe someone will pay me a visit?

I will have to make sure that the house is nice and clean

Surely my son and daughter will bring the grandchildren

around.

I haven’t seen them in quite a long time.

The only person who visits is the nice lady from meals on wheels.

I wonder if she knows how lonliness feels?

I go from room to room tidying as i go.

Than i comb my hair and brush my teeth.

And use some aftershave.

Now all i can do is wait.

Hang on was that a knock on the front door?

I rush to open it up but there is nobody there

Just a lot of undisturbed air.

I sit on my lounge and turn on the TV

I need to calm down.

There will be a phone call any minute.

Than i hear a noise coming from upstairs.

It sounded like foot steps up in the attic.

As i make my way towards that upper room

My heart is beating fast boom boom boom.

When i enter the attic all i see is dust motes and cob webs

I haven’t been up here in more than twenty years.

Nobody is up here except maybe some ghosts.

Even though the attic is full of memories.

I am starting to have second thoughts.

Because as you know not all memories are good.

Than i notice a favourite piece of wood.

In the corner near an old possum nest is my old cricket

bat.

I pick it up and start to play some shots.

Than my arthritis tells me that i am not twenty one anymore.

I sit down on an old wooden chest and think back.

And my face does something it hasn’t done for a while.

It transforms itself and turns into a smile.

Near my feet lies an old rubber ball.

That belonged to a neighbours dog that adopted me as it’s owner.

It was old and cranky with a grey muzzle.

But to me Cass was always kind and gentle.

A black doberman Cass was the best dog in the world.

We used to run around and play in the park.

And as i listen now i can still hear him bark.

I hang my head as i think back.

Than i feel a change in the air.

I look up to see the dust motes dancing and forming shapes.

I see my late wife Cindy in her wedding dress

She was always glowing as pretty as a picture.

I start to weep god i really miss her.

About a decade ago Cindy found a lump in her breast.

She fought the best that she could.

But cancer is a really hard disease to beat.

The radiation and chemo took a heavy toll on her body.

And just three months after the diagnosis

My darling Cindy was gone.

Taken by that god awful disease.

With a heavy heart i fall to my knees.

The dust motes are still dancing and mingling with the moon

beams.

And my deceased brother and sister appear.

Greg is riding his motorbike.

While Sue is cuddling her kids.

They are both doing what they liked to do the most.

Greg rode his motorbike into heaven.

And 28 years later Sue joined him in the big sky.

Both of them were taken way too soon.

The dust motes still dance and swoon.

As i look at those dust motes.

My brother and sister sort of fade away.

I want to run into those motes and make them re arrange

How dare those motes take my brother and sister away again.

But i know that one day i will once again see my brother sister

and wife.

Because after death there is life.

The dust has finally settled.

But my memories are still strong.

The attic to the past has stirred up a lot of thoughts.

Memories of long lost souls.

Names and faces that i will never forget as long as i live.

Why do people have to die?

I head back downstairs before i start to cry.

I turn on the kettle and have another cup of tea.

Before my offspring and grand children arrive.

Hopefully they will bring beer and some chocolate cake.

I go and make myself a sandwich.

But as i eat my brain has too much time to think.

I wash my thoughts and dishes down the sink.

Three o’clock and my phone still hasn’t rung.

Maybe my family is stuck in heavy traffic?

Or they are still shopping for my present?

But deep down in my heart i know that they have forgotten

My family will not visit for my birthday.

I will just have to celebrate alone.

There isn’t any birthday cake or candles to blow out.

Nor any presents to unwrap.

So i just lie down and have a little nap.

But i cant sleep.

All i can think about is that attic to the past.

I was happy sitting there amongst the dust motes.

So i go back upstairs to that special room

I sit on that wooden chest but nothing happens

The dust motes and the magic has gone.

The attic is now nothing more than a room full of mould.

I just slink downstairs to my lonely little household.

I sit in my chair watching the sun go down.

Waiting for my TV dinner to cook in the oven.

Than i will have an early night.

Or maybe have a few beers to drown my sorrows

Than headlights appears in the driveway.

My loving family is finally here.

I am really had any doubts.

From feeling way down in the dumps.

I am now way up in the clouds.

And they say that every cloud has a sliver lining.

And even though it is dark.

The sun is surely shining.

Hugs and kisses are exchanged.

And i confess that i didn’t think that they were coming.

That i was just about to go to bed.

My daughter pipes up ‘But dad i told you that we are taking

you out for chinese’

‘So go grab your jacket we have a birthday to celebrate’

‘I have booked a table and we dont want to be late’

The grand Kids are jumping up and down raring to go.

I grab my keys and jacket and head out the door.

Surrounded by my loving family.

But i cant resist one last look up to that attic to the past.

I know that my memories will last and last.

Memories remind you of your yesterdays.

But you cant live in the past.

You have to live in the here and now.

So i close my front door.

And we all head on our way

To celebrate my 78th birthday.

THE END

Thanks for taking the time to read one of my stories and now if you have the means could you please help me achieve my dream of becoming a fulltime writer by making a small donation i would really appreciate it. Thanks again Steven.

Sid The Giant Squid

23 Friday Sep 2016

giant squid, green peace, sea turtle, water pollution

Sid the giant squid is having a very nice day

He is cruising around the ocean floor looking for something

to eat.

Sid isn’t a very fussy eater.

He will eat anything that floats down from the surface.

Fish crab shark or whale you name it and Sid will eat it.

Dead or alive it doesn’t really matter.

But at the moment Sid is watching the calories.

He will eat anything without the batter.

Sid is giving mother nature a helping hand.

He is the oceans floor vacuum cleaner.

Day after day he sucks up any morsel of flesh big or small

Before it has a chance to rot and foul the water.

Sid lives way down deep near Davey Jones locker.

But it is dark and boring down there.

So sometimes he will swim up from the depths for a change

of scenery.

He swims right up close to a clump of surface kelp and checks

it out

But Sid the giant squid is a carnivore so he doesn’t eat the greenery.

Than he spies a shoal of sardines off in the distance.

Sid erupts like a torpedo and scares the crap out of those little fish.

Sid the giant squid is usually a gentle soul

But when you are hungry sometimes you have to be mean.

Plus the little sardines make great toothpicks to keep Sid’s teeth nice

and clean.

Than he remembers that a giant squids feeding parts are on the back end

So he backs up and points his mouth at the fleeing fish

After a brief chase Sid catches all of those sardines like a soccer goalie.

Sid swallows thousands of those fish holy moly.

Than Sid swims back down to his safety zone because squids are happiest

eating on the ocean floor.

Where they can attack from below and rip their victim apart with their beak.

The ocean floor is no place for the slow scared or meek.

When Sid swallowed down the sardines he also swallowed a whole lot of water.

Water contaminated by human activity.

A crude oil tanker has left behind a mile long slick.

And Sid has ingested most of it so he isn’t feeling very good.

In fact Sid the giant squid is very very sick

Why are human beings as thick as a brick?

All Sid can do is lay low on the ocean floor and wait for the oil to leave his system

The oil has fouled his gills so Sid is finding it hard to breathe.

Sid the giant squid is in one hell of a fix.

Because as we all know oil and water don’t mix

Sid is sick because of human greed and their never ending need for material

things.

They fire up their factories and discharge pollutants into the oceans and rivers

Humans beings are a race of takers.

There sure as fuck aren’t many givers.

After about a week Sid is feeling a whole lot better.

He has started to hunt and eat again.

But now now he is a lot more selective because he doesn’t want to get sick

again.

Surely the pollutants cant reach down to the depths?

So he scours the ocean floor hunting and feeding.

While way up above the world is decaying and bleeding.

Sid the giant squid is now back to his old self.

So he decides to go exploring and catch up with friends

Soon he comes upon Mrytle the green turtle just up ahead.

But he notices that she isn’t swimming properly in fact she is

really struggling.

Mrytle is in trouble all because of human stupidity and buggling.

Mrytle is tangled up in a shitload of fishing line.

Plus she has swallowed plastic bags because they look just like a

tasty jelly fish.

The plastic bags make Mrytle think that she is full so she stops

eating.

Human beings really really need a good beating.

The human race is hurting the animal kingdom and now it is Mrytle’s

turn.

She is feeling mighty peculiar and she doesn’t know why.

For Mrytle the green turtle there is no chance of recovery.

Human beings have just killed off another favourite daughter.

All because they continue to fuck up and pollute the water.

Sid knows that he cant do anything for Mrytle she is beyond

redemption

He sheds a tear as he watches his friend drift away to die.

Through no fault of her own Mrytle has died an agonising death.

All she ever wanted was to swim wild and free.

She died because of the ignorance of mankind.

And that includes you and me.

Once again Sid goes back to the safety of the ocean floor.

He has heard about the beings who live out of the water

And how they think that they are so superior to all other animal

on earth.

If i had five dollars that is five dollars more than human beings

are worth.

He has also heard of the word calamari sliced up squid crumbed and

deep fried.

Served with fries and a slice of lemon.

Sid the giant squid shivers in disgust as he thinks about all that

slicing and dicing.

Because once there are no more giant squid left alive

It would be like having a cake without any icing.

Sid the giant squid is hungry all of the time.

So once again he is looking out for an easy meal.

But he cant find anything of substance just a few crumbs here and

there.

As Sid looks up towards the surface he lets out a heartfelt moan.

Because once he swims straight into the danger zone.

He slips in and out of the sunlight like a giant mother of pearl.

A boat is trawling for fish with a huge drift net.

These nets can catch thousands of ton of fish and any other creature

that cant get out of the way.

Sid casts his huge round eyes all over the fishing boat and he starts to frown.

Because one way or another that boat is going down.

First he uses his tentacles to untie the net from the boat.

The humans onboard watch as their catch drifts away.

The fish swim to where they should be.

Swimming in the ocean wild and free.

Sid uses the diversion of the drifting net to grab hold of the stern of the

boat.

He lifts it out of the water than gravity takes hold  and the boat slips under.

Sid pulls it down all the way to the bottom where it can no longer do any

harm.

The boat hits the ocean floor with a mighty crash.

And a nasty bit of gravel rash.

On the way down Sid noticed the humans making their escape.

But he doesn’t try to harm them as they swim to safety.

Because Sid the giant squid doesn’t kill for the hell of it

He only kills when he needs food.

Unlike human beings Sid only kills to stay alive.

He doesn’t need to eat everything alive.

Sid knows that the humans will be back to try and salvage the net.

And they will contaminate the water with oil fishing line and

plastic bags.

They just cant help themselves.

Sid the giant squid knows that it will be a never ending battle to keep

the oceans free from human activity.

If only he could find a way to keep humans in captivity.

THE END.

Thanks for taking the time to read one of my stories and now if you could make a donation to help me achieve my dream of becoming a fulltime writer. Thanks again Steven.

Temporary Tomb (Part Two)

abduction, desperation, escape, hope, killing fields, murder

In part one of this story eight year old Tommy Tucker has been

abducted on his way home from school.

Tommy is the tenth little boy to go missing from the Coffs Harbour

area.

None of the other boys has been seen since.

Tommy has been taken to a farm house in the hinterland.

Where he is held captive in an old mine shaft.

About the same size as a small bathroom.

He is chained by his ankle to an steel pole.

With a small bucket for a toilet and an old lantern hanging on the

wall provides the only light.

Up in the farm house his abductor is staring into space.

He is really hoping that this boy is the one.

For three years he has searching for a replacement son.

He lost his own son to cancer.

And since that time he has been looking for a Simon lookalike.

This boy thought that he could deceive him.

And for that he will die down in the hole.

He looks out to his fields to where he has buried the other nine

boys.

Now he will have to dig a hole for another one.

Part Two.

Tommy has been held captive for three days now.

His abductor has given him very little food.

And only a few cupfuls of water.

And even though he hasn’t had much to eat he has visited the

bucket a few  times.

Now it is really starting to smell.

Tommy misses his mummy all he wants to do is go home.

His abductor isn’t at the farmhouse.

He is out in his car trolling the streets for another Simon.

It has only been three days since he  abducted the boy down in the

hole.

His needs are getting stronger.

But all he has found so far is little deceivers who pretend to be Simon.

Now those deceivers are buried out in his fields.

All except one.

He is just about to head on home when he spots a Simon lookalike up

ahead riding a skateboard.

He pulls alongside the kid and yells out the window ‘Simon get into the car

right now’.

The kid tells him that his name isnt Simon and that he must  be confusing him

for another kid.

‘Get in the car right now i am your father’

The boy notices the crazy look on the mans face and tries to back away.

But he isn’t quite quick enough and he is dragged in through the window

of the car and pushed to the floor.

‘Why do these little deceivers try to trick me ?

‘They pretend to be Simon and force me to do bad things.’

Soon they both arrive at the farm house.

The kid has no idea what is happening as he is led into the backyard

Where the crazy man pulls away a sheet of iron.

And he is told to climb down.

The abductor follows the boy down into the shaft ‘Jesus what is that smell?’

Tommy points at the bucket ‘Sorry mister’

The abductor lets out a curse of disgust ‘For fuck sake i will be right back’

Tommy tells the new kid’Quick climb out and go and get help’

But the kid is frightened out of his wits ‘I cant the crazy man will kill me’

Tommy cant believe it ‘Okay see that lantern over there grab it and bring it

over here’

The new kid grabs the lantern and hands it to Tommy.

Tommy puts the lantern on the floor near them.

But not too close.

He just hopes that the abductor doesn’t notice.

They hear the sound of the iron cover being moved.

Than the abductor appears with a new clean bucket.

But no food or water.

Than he chains the new kid to the pole and leaves without saying

a word.

Thank Christ the whack job didn’t notice that the lantern had been moved.

Because has come up with a brilliant plan of escape.

He grabs the lantern and takes off the glass cover and holds the binding

chain over the flame.

‘God i hope this works’ But after half an hour nothing seems to be happening

Than slowly but surely the chain becomes red hot.

Tommy turns to the new kid ‘When the chain breaks i will go and get help so

just sit tight’

The new kid is hysterical ‘If the crazy man comes back and finds you gone he will

kill me for sure’

Tommy knows that the new kid is right ‘Okay hold your chain near the flame but don’t

get your hands too close’

The abductor has been busy as well.

He is out in his field digging two small swallow graves.

It takes a lot of work but it has to be done.

The sooner that those two deceivers are in the ground the better.

Tommy is keen to make a run for it ‘Quick before the man comes back’

The new kid knows that he is holding Tommy back.

But with a sudden twang the chain snaps.

They both jump up and down all excited now to get the fuck out of here.

They race to the ladder and start to climb.

But than they hear the sound of the cover being removed.

Tommy whispers ‘Quick go back to where you were and hold your hands

behind your back so the crazy man cant see that we are free’

Both boys sit on the ground and try to look nonchalent.

The abductor climbs down the ladder with a bag full of food.

‘I have been to MacDonald’s and bought some burgers and fries

Even the condemned get to eat a final meal’

Than the abductors mobile phone begins to ring ‘For fuck sake what now?

Okay i will be there yes i know that it is important Bye’

Than the abductor notices the lantern on the floor ‘How did that get there?’

Tommy pipes up ‘You left it there when you changed the shit bucket’

The abductor looks at Tommy with steely eyes.

Then he bends and hangs the lantern back on the wall.

And with one last look at the boys he is gone.

Tommy cant believe it.

The abductor has left his mobile phone behind.

Tommy grabs the phone and dials triple 000 and as calmly as he can he tells

the dispatcher who he is and the location as best as he knows.

The dispatcher tells Tommy to put the phone back where he found it but leave

it switched so the police can use it to track there location.

At police headquarters tells detectives Coverdale and Hughes about the phone call.

Finally they have a breakthrough the phone call has been traced to a farm house

in the Coffs Harbour hinterland.

And twenty police officers race to the scene.

At the farm house Tommy and the new kid decide that it is now or never.

So they climb the ladder and push the iron cover aside.

Tommy is surprised to see the daylight he has grown used to the dark.

He and the new kid take in their surroundings and look for the whack job.

Than they race as fast as they can down the long driveway.

At that moment the abductor is looking out to the killing fields.

When he sees the two boys running towards freedom.

And after screaming a few obscenities he takes off after them.

Both boys are only halfway down the driveway when they hear foot steps

behind them.

They have a quick scared look behind them.

And they know that they will never make it.

The abductor grabs both boys by the scruff of the neck and starts to drag

them back towards the farm house.

But than ten police cars turn into the driveway.

The abductor is caught like a deer in the headlights.

To stunned to move.

The police fan out.

And detective Coverdale screams at him to let the boys go.

The abductor knows that he is done for as he looks at the police with

their guns drawn.

So he comes to a decision.

If he cant see Simon in this life he will see him in the afterlife.

He kisses both Tommy and the new kid goodbye.

And runs straight toward the police reaching behind for his gun.

BANG BANG BANG the abductor falls to the ground a bloody heap.

And he has died with a smile on his face.

Maybe he will see Simon again in a better place.

Thanks for taking the time to read one of my stories and now if you have the means could you make a donation to help me achieve my dream of becoming a fulltime writer. Thanks again Steven.

THE END.

Komodo

island, komodo, mayhem, sharks, slaughter, survival

I am on the holiday of a lifetime cruising around the  Indonesian

Islands.

I cant believe how beautiful and sunny it is.

Everyone is sitting around having some lunch talking and enjoying

the scenery.

When out of the corner of my eye i notice a speed boat approaching.

I dont think too much about until it gets closer

Than the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.

On board the boat are four men wearing military uniforms.

Carrying what looks to be AK47 rifles.

PIRATES.

Before i can even shout out a warning the pirates start to shoot

across the bow.

People start running around screaming in panic.

Than a grappling hook comes over the side.

I know i only have a few seconds to find a weapon.

A steak knife even a piece of wood.

But there is nothing.

Than the pirates start shooting at the tourists.

People are falling like dominoes

Blood and gore is flying everywhere.

Luckily i am standing right near the opposite gunwale.

So i just slip over the side into the water.

Hopefully the pirates wont notice or hear the splash.

I am soon joined by seven other survivors.

We float right up against the cruise boat so we want be seen

While up above our fellow holiday makers are slaughtered.

Soon all the cries and screams die down

As the pirates go from body to body stealing and looting.

They empty wallets and handbags  and rip jewellery from fingers.

All that murder and mayhem for a few lousy dollars.

After they have done the dirty the pirates jump into their speed

boat and race away.

Maybe it is not too late to climb aboard and check for any survivors

And get onto the radio and send a mayday for help.

But the arsehole pirates have damaged the hull and the boat is sinking

fast.

After only a couple of minutes the stern points to the sky.

And our cruise boat sinks to the bottom.

The ocean fills with bullet riddled bodies.

And their blood leaves a dark red stain.

The eight of us look on stunned.

All we wanted was to have a great vacation

Now we are surrounded by our dead colleagues.

Than i see a huge dorsal fin holy crap SHARKS.

We need to get away from the bodies as fast as we can.

So we don’t get caught up in the feeding frenzy.

Lucky for us a cooler and a few life jackets float to the

surface right near us.

So i grab a cooler while a few of the others put on the

life jackets.

Soon two of the others join me hanging onto the cooler.

As we start to float away we notice an island in the distance

shrouded in a mist of mystery.

By the looks of it the island is about ten miles away.

That island is our only hope for survival.

So we swim towards it as fast as we can.

We slowly swim towards our goal.

But four of the other survivors have started to fall behind.

I scream at them to try and keep up.

But they have already drifted a hundred metres away.

I cant do anything for them.

All i can do is help the others reach the island.

We jettison the cooler and life jackets and start to swim unaided

Just as we are about to hit our limit

We reach the breakers and are washed up onto the beach.

Slowly we crawl up the sand until we reach the shelter of a huge

palm tree.

There we collapse completely exhausted.

Until hunger and thirst drives us to explore the island.

As we struggle through the jungle my companions introduce

themselves.

One is a young British girl named Sally Richards.

While the other two are a married couple from New York.

Clive and Margot Barker.

Sally and i are just getting to know each other when she stumbles

and falls.

I look back thinking it was just a vine or a loose rock.

But it isn’t a vine or a loose rock  there is a large footprint in the dirt.

The print is about 16 inches wide and 2 inches deep.

To me it looks like the footprint of a very large lizard or bird.

Jesus have we landed in jurassic park?

But i keep my thoughts to myself as we continue our search.

As we get further into the interior the mist and the clouds hang heavy.

God i hope it rains it will squench our thirst.

And take the edge off our sunburn.

Sally’s face is all puffed up from her fall.

Her nose is bleeding and i am pretty sure that it is broken.

I just hope that the smell of the blood doesn’t attract the attention

of that very large lizard. or bird.

Than another smell hit’s my nose.

The smell of fresh water.

We all run to the source of the scent a large isolated lake.

As we drink our fill we start to relax and skylark around.

For a few minutes we can forget that we are stranded on a deserted

giant lizard infested island.

Sally hasn’t joined the festivities.

Her nose is now a deep purple colour and is bleeding worse than ever.

She is sitting all morose at the edge of the lake.

Than as she goes to dry off she is grabbed by a very large lizard.

Who has a hold on Sally’s face and it isn’t letting go.

The lizards saliva is dripping from its mouth like the devil’s sperm.

Sally’s face dissolves and she is torn to pieces and swallowed down.

That lizard is the size of a tank.

With an appetite of a carnivious elephant.

There is nothing we can do for Sally

All we can do is try to save ourselves from that reptile.

The lizard walks back and forth watching us with its dead black eyes.

Flicking its tongue out tasting the air.

Tasting our flesh.

The three of us swim to the centre of the lagoon.

Maybe the lizard will get bored and just wander off?

Or maybe lie down and have a three hour siesta?

But the lizard has other ideas

It just stands there at the edge of the lagoon giving us the death

stare.

Than it dives into the water like an olympic swimmer

And it is heading straight towards us.

Holy fuck.

We turn around and swim in the opposite direction.

It is only about thirty metres to the bank.

But it feels like a mile.

We dont dare look back

It is now a matter of life and death

As soon as we reach the bank we scramble out and run.

But Clive is grabbed by a foot.

His wife and i go back grab his arm and pull with all of our might.

And to our surprise the lizard lets go.

I look at that fucking lizard and i swear it is actually smiling.

Then i know what we are dealing with.

This lizard isnt an ordinary lizard it is a komodo dragon.

It’s saliva is full of deadly bacteria.

Clive is now a dead man walking only he doesn’t know it.

Soon his flesh will start to fester and putrify.

And the smell of his dying flesh will make it easy for the komodo

to follow us.

We move as fast as we can but Clive is delirious and fading fast.

And the stench is horrendous.

Clive knows that he is dying so he screams at us to’Get the fuck

out of here before that lizard comes back’

Margot is distressed but surprisingly calm.

She says goodbye to her husband and with a last ‘I love you’

We are gone.

And not a moment too soon.

The giant komodo storms out from the undergrowth.

And precedes to eat Clive alive.

His screams echo off the mountains and through the valley

Than they finally die down down.

Margot and i shiver with dread.

We are stuck on an island so there is nowhere to run.

But hopefully we can find someplace to hide until help arrives.

But i know that help isnt coming anytime soon.

Because nobody knows where we are.

But if we can make it back to the beach

We can make a fire or send an SOS from gathered rocks.

I know it is a long shot.

But somehow i just know we have to make it to the beach.

We both hear that komodo trampling through the trees

We try to escape but you cant out run a hungry komodo.

Margot is taken down hard and she struggles for her life.

But the komodo is to big and strong.

I try to save her but i know that it is useless.

And as i go to scramble away the komodo swings its head.

I jump back but i am a split second too late.

It nips me on the forearm but it is enough.

I stagger away but i know that my time is up.

My arm is already double its normal size and is starting to stink.

And it has turned a nasty yellow green purple colour.

I turn to face my adversary but i have no energy left.

My inner strength has been sapped away

I feel myself falling to my knees.

The komodo walks up to me grabs hold of my infested arm.

And it is ripped out of its socket.

But funnily enough i feel no pain i am resigned to my fate.

Limb by limb i am torn apart.

Then the komodo opens up my stomach and swallows my entrails

Like i am a human sausage sizzle.

I look at that komodo as it eats me bit by bit.

But i am kind of detached from the situation.

But i know one thing for sure.

Later today or first thing tomorrow.

I will have become nothing more than a steaming pile of komodo

shit.

The Goats & The Pop Tart Princess (Part Two)

04 Sunday Sep 2016

In Part One of this story i told you about a princess that lives

up Cessnock way.

She is princess Tanya AKA The pop tart princess.

Tanya is called the pop tart princess because she has a fondness

for sugar and well pop tarts.

Tanya believes that pop tarts and sugar are part of a food group.

And princess Tanya has an even greater fondness.

One day she heard a scared bleat coming from the scrub near her

place.

She investigated and discovered a goat cowering and frightened.

Hiding from her cruel master.

Princess Tanya took the abused goat home.

And she gave that goat all of her love and affection.

She fed that goat and looked after it 24/7.

The goat and the pop tart princess were soon inseparable.

After about a month the goat and has begun to settle.

The pop tart princess gave the goat a big hug.

And named her Gretel.

Is this a fairy tale ?

Will they live happily ever after?

Part Two

Tanya the pop tart princess isn’t a real princess you know.

Her parents aren’t the king and queen of a nation.

And her family doesn’t live in a castle.

Tanya is a princess in another way.

With little fuss she goes about feeding her collection of cats and dogs

And of course the latest addition Gretel the goat.

All of the animals look up at her in wonder.

They know that they are in a special place.

As they gobble down their food they say a little prayer and a God bless.

Because to them Tanya is a real princess.

Early the next morning Tanya is having a breakfast of a dozen pop tarts

and a bowl of sugar lol

And smoking a cigarette as the sun begins to rise.

With a last bite and a final puff she goes out to check on her four legged

friends.

She notices that Gretel has a swollen belly.

So she is straight on the phone to the vet.

The pop tart princess would die if anything happened to her new pet.

But Tanya knows that she is being silly

There is nothing wrong with Gretel.

She is pregnant of course.

The vet arrives and he soon confirms Tanya’s prognosis.

And there is an added bonus.

Gretel isnt only pregnant not only with one kid

She is having twins.

Princess Tanya’s heart melts and fills with joy.

She is going to be a grandmother of a girl and a boy.

The pop tart princess celebrates with a tasty sweet treat.

Then she starts to prepare for the birth.

Maybe she can convert the spare room into a nursery?

And paint it pink and blue.

But Goats dont belong inside a house

Gretel would probably eat everything but the kitchen sink

Plus goats exactly known for their table manners

No Gretel will be comfortable enough in her enclosure out

near the garden shed.

It has been a long day so Tanya smokes one last cigarette

And toddles off to bed.

A few months later and the big day is here.

Gretel is ready to give birth.

She is having bad contractions and bleats out in pain.

Princess Tanya whispers words of encouragement

And Gretel responds with an almighty push.

A tiny head emerges followed by a slimy little body.

And a tiny female kid goat slides onto the straw.

Five minutes later and her twin brother joins her in this world.

Gretel the dutiful mother smiles and licks her offspring clean

And princess Tanya is happier than she has ever been.

The two kid goats are named Lola and Zephr

And they light up Tanya’s life

She cares for them like they are her own children.

She would do anything for her goats

Than mother nature hands Tanya a curse

And princess Tanya’s life takes a turn for the worse.

She is playing with her goats in the backyard.

When she notices that little Zephr has gone missing

He must have found a way through the back fence.

Princess Tanya calls out yelling his name.

But from Zephr there is no sound.

Maybe the council ranger has mistaken Zephr as a dog

And has taken him to the  local pound?

But deep down in her heart princess Tanya knows that Zephr

isn’t coming home.

After the yard and surrounds with no success.

Zephr is finally located out the back near his enclosure.

And there isn’t any good news.

He is laying on the ground and he isn’t breathing.

On closer inspection it looks like Zephr has been bitten by a

snake.

Princess Tanya cries a river as her heart begins to break.

The following days and weeks are nothing but a blur.

Princess Tanya is barely functioning.

She is living her life on auto pilot.

Gretel and Lola dont understand what is happening.

Why doesn’t Zephr answer their calls?

They run up and down the fence bleating for him to come home.

Gretel frets for her son while Lola really misses her twin brother

Zephr was an original a one of a kind.

And there will never be another.

Eventually life goes back to some sort of normal.

Princess Tanya gets her weekly delivery of a pallet of pop tarts

In a dozen different flavours.

And in the last few weeks or so a mystery benefactor

Has been leaving assorted vegetables and greens out near the front

fence.

Maybe the benefactor is a modern day Robin Hood?

Who takes from the greengrocer and gives to the good

Princess Tanya is out in the sun with her goats.

And there has been an addition to her family.

Princess Tanya has adopted another goat.

A little rascal she has named Alfie.

And it looks like Gretel’s belly has a little swell.

And maybe little Lola as well.

Than the screen door slams shut

And Tanya’s cattle dog Zahli and her cat Otis come out to join the

party.

Princess Tanya gives all of her animals a great big hug.

In Tanya’s house love is all that you need.

Than she gathers her animals up nice and close and takes a selfie.

Princess Tanya might be money poor.

But in her heart she is very wealthy.

28 Scarecrows (The Finale)

01 Thursday Sep 2016

Tags

black crowes, freedom fighting, scarecrows, volcano, wangaratta

In part four

Mawkin the ruler of all the scarecrows had just moved

into a shack on the edge of Wangaratta Victoria.

A shack previously owned by his long time protaginist

Hylan.

Who Mawkin defeated after an epic battle.

Mawkin was feeling lonely one night

So he sat on his front porch pulls down his pants and starts

to Masterbate.

His scarecrow seed was carried by the wind all the way into

Wangaratta and surrounds.

And 142,349 females unlucky enough to be outside at that

moment are impregnated by the evil seed.

Mawkin was visited by Pinnoch

The son of Hylan and his human rape victim.

Pinnoch was the first homo scarecrowian born on Earth.

38,492 black crowes descend on both Mawkin and Pinnoch

And they are soon overwelmed  by the black birds.

Now Mawkin and Pinnoch are nothing more than a pair of garden

ordarments.

Now they will guard Hylans garden until the end of time.

The finale

In Wangaratta and in the surrounding towns and hamlets

142,349 pregnant females are still in a state of disbelief

It has been six months since Mawkin ruler of all the

scarecrows masterbated into the wind impregnating  the

females with his evil seed.

The 142,349 females have no idea how they became pregnant.

Most of them were using contraceptives and yet they were

still impregnated.

Even the virgins couldn’t escape the scarecrow sperm.

So naturally tongues started to wag

Married women were with child while their husbands were away.

While their boyfriends were working in the mines or in the vineyards

Somehow their girlfriends become pregnant.

Even at the local convent 24 nuns are carrying the scarecrow seed.

They all pray to God for forgiveness but he doesn’t seem to be

listening.

They lock the doors and close all the windows.

But it is way too late an dark force has already invaded their sanctuary.

In a secluded shack on the edge of Wangaratta

On the very edge of existence

Two scarecrows are guarding a vegetable garden.

One is Mawkin the dead ruler of all the scarecrows

The other is Pinnoch the first homo scarecrowian born on Earth

If you look closely at Mawkin’s face you will see a little smirk

Even though he is longer with us Mawkin is feeling happy with

himself.

His toss off into the wind is having the desired effect.

The people in and around Wangaratta are still fighting amongst

themselves

Accusations are flying left right and centre

The husbands and boyfriends crowd all the pubs and bars.

Their wives and girlfriends deny any infidelity

But 142,349 females are pregnant so who is doing the dirty?

Back at the vegetable garden

Mawkin and Pinnoch are having an out of body communication

They are both still dead to the World

They are waiting for the right sequence of events and they will once

again breathe.

They will wait for a million years if they have to.

The 142,349 females know that they aren’t having a normal pregnancy

There isnt any kicking or movement from the unborn.

None of them experience any morning sickness.

But they have had all of the scans and ultra sounds

And nothing unusual shows up.

But they know that everything isn’t normal.

The 142,349 females know that they should have aborted

But it is way too late now.

High up in the mountains above Wangaratta is a large dormant

volcano.

Nearby a black crow is sitting high up in a tree.

He knows that a calamity is about to take place.

And only the black crow’es can stop it.

For over three hours that black crow screeches and caw’s into

the night.

All over Victoria one million black crow’es listen to the signal

They are all prepared and ready to fight.

On the morning of 2nd October 2016

Most of the pregnant females start to make their way to the

nearest hospital

But the 24 nuns stay where they are away from prying eyes.

All of the hospitals are swamped.

the hospital staff have never seen anything like it

The females are sent to hospitals all over the State

From Wangaratta to Ballarat Bendigo and Sheperton

All the way down to Warrambool

And every hospital in between

Up in the mountains near the dormant volcano

Over one million black crow’es have gathered

They fly around the crater of the volcano in an anti

clockwise direction.

They fly faster and faster  getting tighter and tighter until

they form a funnel.

Like a huge black crow tornado.

The black crow’es fly even faster

And the lid of the crater cracks and opens

Molten lava is drawn up from the Earths core.

And for the first time in 20 thousand years the volcano is active

Than one by one the black crow’es fly off to all corners of the State

Soon most of the hospitals and a small convent

Will be inundated by an army of one million black crow’es

Their objective?

Destroy and kill 142.349 homo scarecrowian babies that are born.

All of the black crow’es are in position

They circle the hospitals and the convent waiting for the cry of a new born

Than they will spring into action.

At Wangaratta base hospital a scream rings out’Get this fucking thing out of

me’

The doctors and nurses exchange nervous glances

This isn’t a happy mother

They will have to be on guard.

At the convent the 24 nuns are all in labour

1000 black crow’es are outside waiting for the first cry

The priests are rubbing their rosary beads praying to God

Whispering words like the Devil and the second coming of Lucifer.

Than it happens

The black crow’es hear a tiny whimper and fly straight threw the

windows and doors

And converge onto the stunned 24 nuns and medical staff.

The 24 new born babies dont stand a chance

The black crows pluck out the eyes and sever the vocal chords

And those 24 homo scarecrowians are carried off.

The 24 nuns are still too stunned to speak

But at the same time they are relieved

Those abominations are gone from their lives

Now they can just go back to being a normal nun again

All over the State of Victoria

Every hospital both public and private are steamrolled by the

invading black crow’es.

Who smash their way in and grab the new born from the arms of

the mothers

Once again they remove the eyeballs and sever the vocal chords

And 120.910 baby homo scarecrowians are carried away.

That still leaves 21,415 new born homo scarecrowians out there

somewhere still alive.

The black crow’es will never give until every last one of those babies

are killed.

They search from town to town from house to house.

And they want stop searching until their mission is complete.

A lot of the pregnant females couldn’t get to a hospital

They are forced to deliver their babies at home.

But that doesn’t deter the black crow’es

They fly to every house in every one horse town

Smashing their way inside and carting off the new born

In some cases the mothers had thrown their babies out into the

street.

Knowing that what they just gave birth to sure as fuck wasn’t human.

All up they locate 21,400 new born

But that still leaves 15 of those new born monsters out there

15 homo scarecrowians who could breed and wipe out human

civilisation.

The black crow’es use all of their hunting skills

And 2 days later the surviving new born’s are located  in a private

sanctuary down near Warrambool.

Those 15 survivors aren’t living and breathing.

They haven’t been born yet

Maybe they have heard about the slaughter all over the State.

And they are staying put.

The black crow’es are waiting and circling outside

While the husbands and boyfriends crowd the waiting room

But those 15 stragglers are coming out anytime soon.

After waiting for over 10 hours

The black crow’es just cant wait no more

So they storm the sanctuary like winged commamdo’s

And than they do the unthinkable

They crawl inside the vaginas and physically remove the babies

And they to are carried away.

142,349 female Victorians all breathe a collective sigh of relief

They are now free from the abominations

So they can now go back to their normal lives

Up near Wangaratta

One million black crow’es are converging on to the now active volcano

142,349 baby homo scarecrowians are carried to the edge. And after circling

a few times.

The 142,349 babies are dropped one by one into the molten lava.

Than the one million black crow’es go back to being normal birds again.

Their mission is now complete.

The world is free from homo scarecrowian.

Back at Hylan’s old shack on the edge of town

Mawkin and Pinnoch the dead scarecrows

Are no longer smirking and smiling

In fact their smiles have been turned upside down.

They are both hit by the down draft from the wings of the black

crow’es.

And their frowns are now frozen in place.

They have been turned to stone

So now and forever more they will be nothing more than ugly

garden ornaments.

And you can bet that all the birds in the neighbourhood will be

shitting all over them.

Especially the freedom fighting black crow’es.

THE END.
